Exam mapping
New Inspiration develops the four skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking needed for the PET exam. Levels 1-3 of New Inspiration cover most of the PET syllabus although in a very few instances, an area is dealt with in New Inspiration 4. In addition, the Student’s Books and the Workbooks have many exercises that follow a similar format to questions in the PET exam. This document maps the PET syllabus to New Inspiration. After completing New Inspiration 3, we recommend students go on to use the exam-preparation course such as Ready for PET for specific exam practice.
